Many couples choose to get married away from home, some because they enjoy the thrill of travel and some to explore new places. But for Cheryl and Marcus, it wasn’t just a destination wedding. It was their dream come true. This beautiful couple lives in the UK, in a lovely city next to the sea. Thus, it was that much more important to them to get married right next to the waterfront. Since they have been visiting Greece as a vacation destination, they fell in love with Halkidiki and decided that it was going to be the destination for their special day.

From the moment we met with Cheryl and Marcus, it became clear that we were planning a very elegant and romantic intimate wedding, filled with symbolisms and beautiful details. The color palette we chose was a combination of pale blue hues, to match the color of the sea and the sky, and pale peach, to match the color of the sunset.

The ceremony took place in the afternoon. All of the couple’s friends and family were gathered together, as Cheryl walked down the aisle to meet Marcus, right in front of

a stunning white open door frame, that would symbolize the entrance to their new life. Many more symbols were included in the ceremony. Some of them originate from ancient Greece, such as the wedding crowns made of olive leaves and the drinking of the wine.

After exchanging vows of eternal love in front of their beloved ones, the couple went down to the beach for their portrait session, while their guests were escorted to the dinner area. White wooden tables, pale blue silk runners and grey vineyard wooden

chairs were some of the elements of this romantic dinner scenery. The table set up was complimented by clear glass vintage charger plates, white dinner napkins, blue wine glasses and a touch of eucalyptus. Next to each place setting, the guests would find

a little glass bottle filled with limoncello, as a wedding favor.

After the sun went down, the venue was romantically lit by garlands with Edison type lamps and paper lanterns over the tables, along with a white illuminated LOVE sign.

The band kept the party going for hours, while the guests were drinking, dancing

and enjoying the fireworks in the sky.
