There is no bigger blessing than working with couples that have a great sense of style. Especially when we manage to bring their impeccable taste into the design of their wedding day. Case in point, this ultra chic couple that travelled from London, UK, to get married among family and friends in their hometown, Thessaloniki, in Northern Greece. From the very first meetings, both Marianna and Theo were very specific about what

they had in mind for their wedding day. An iconic venue, like the Museum of Byzantine Culture, which is considered one of the best works of public architecture created in the last decades in Greece, and an urban chic design. Keeping the architecture of the building in mind, we chose our main design elements, in order to be consistent with both the surroundings and the couple’s taste. Our mood board consisted of hints of marble, black and gold. The stationery, the welcome gifts, that included traditional treats, the favor boxes with the succulents etc were all designed accordingly.

The bride wore an elegant tailor made off one shoulder white wedding dress and gorgeous petrol heels by Oscar Tiye, while the groom chose a bespoke stunning dark blue tuxedo. Their ceremony took place at one of the oldest churches in Thessaloniki, and after its end, the guests were escorted to the venue by tour guides that walked them through the city’s history. The flowers were mostly white for the church decoration. The bride’s bouquet was a breathtaking combination of white sweet peas and peonies. For the venue, we used an assortment of greenery, such as different types of fern, palm leaves etc with hints of white in between, in order to turn the outdoor space of the museum into a beautiful garden.

At the entrance, the guests were welcomed by a white wooden installation for the seating chart decorated with greenery, as well as a dessert table, with a gorgeous 3-tier cake with

a blue-black brush stroke and marble patterned desserts.

The dinner set up consisted of round and long white marble tables with clear charger

and BB plates with a gold rim, dinner plates with a marble pattern, golden flatware

and prism iridescent glassware. As the night went by, Edison type lamps hanging over the tables and the dance floor lit up, turning the venue into a magical scenery, that, combined with the couple’s amazing energy, made this wedding party a night to remember.
