Elvina and George’s nuptials were all about classic and organic beauty. The luscious pool area of the iconic Hyatt Regency Hotel provided a breathtaking backdrop to plan a timeless affair dressed in an off-white palette with a hint of blue gray. The loose and airy floral arrangements in their subtlety created a refined feel for the ceremony while an impressive hanging installation with strings of lights accompanied the warm and inviting reception design.
With the both of them leading high profile files, we had to be very sensitive with their privacy and, of course, handpick the best vendors who would help us execute and capture their vision. Minimal, romantic yet timeless and elegant were some of the adjectives the bride used to describe the style she was going for. Even though most of the time they find themselves travelling off base, they wanted to host their wedding in Thessaloniki and show their friends and family why they love to call it a home away from home.
Letterpress save the dates and invitations with a clean cut monogram and a delicate, handmade painting done by the bride’s grandmother gave guests a hint of the wedding design to come. Agia Sofia, a historical landmark erected in the 7th century, decorated with fresh, seasonal arrangements that evoked a feeling of serene and refined vibe that complimented the surrounding space, welcomed the 300 guests who travelled from near and far to witness this union. Everybody cheered when the bride, clad in a classic A-line wedding gown, arrived, escorted by the sweetest ring bearer and flower girls. The ceremony ended on a heartfelt note as members of the family were actually part of the service.
The couple who decided to opt out for their first look and keep it traditional, went for a mini portrait session in the bride’s childhood home, to catch their breaths and enjoy some precious moments alone. Their reception, held in the gardens of the renowned Hyatt Regency Hotel, was a classic setup with white round tables and chairs as well as clear decorative details with summery and airy floral arrangements that perfectly blended with the hotel’s surroundings. When the plated dinner service was over, everyone filled the dance floor and danced the night away, under a canopy of twinkle lights.
