REFINED AND INTIMATE ROMANTIC WEDDING IN KARPENISI
Crisp mountain air, a subtle palette full of shades of cream, nude, blush and sage green and lush blooms are just a few things that will make you fall head over heels with Alyssa and Chis' refined and intimate village wedding.
When sweet Alyssa and Shanila -her sister- approached us 2 and half months shy of the wedding date, they started off by saying that they do not only wish to honor both Chris' Greek roots and their Hindi roots, but also to treat their guests -who would be joining them all the way from the States, to an unforgettable al fresco dining experience under the stars. And this is exactly what we strove to create and delivered. Despite the many logistics that needed to be taken care of, from getting a truck full of equipment to 1000m altitude to planning a ceremony at a unique viewpoint and at the same time turning a scenic square into a swoon worthy dining space, we didn't fall short on any curated designs, while also securing the best vendors to bring this vision to life and capture the joy and fun of the day in timeless imagery.
Just before sunset, guests were dropped off at Tsagaralona for the ceremony, where they were offered some refreshments and took pictures overlooking the gorgeous scenery. Alyssa and Chris framed by the embrace of an overflowing grounded arch exchanged personal vows surrounded by their closest friends and family and there wasn’t a dry eye as their officiant, Chris' dad, took special care to reminisce on their journey so far, in a beautiful blending of their cultures. After the I DOs came the tossing of flower petals and another kiss at the end of the aisle to officially mark their forever together.
Following the ceremony, guests were then driven from the hill top to the main square of Fidakia where the cocktail hour and reception took place. No details were spared to transform it into a luxurious setup fit for a unique celebration of love. Before being escorted to the main area, guests were welcome with Greek delicacies and shots of ouzo and homemade liquer as is customary when in Greece. With a long table set for 35, ideal for a shared celebration and great conversations, we went for a stylish yet authentic feel. Staying true to the neutral color palette, the rustic looking chairs, paired with the fancy light pink dhalia shaped tableware and rose gold silverware brought out a warm setting, further accentuated by the soft toned blooms that had just enough color to look playful but muted enough to be timeless and the candlelit atmosphere. Everything turned out so beautiful, all the delicate textures and whimsical shapes mixed together, along with the evident joy of the people present!
